The Room Is Part of the System: Acoustic Treatment
You can specify a certified Teams Room bar, a ceiling microphone array, and a beamforming DSP — and still get calls where the far end says "you sound like you're in a tunnel." That is almost never a hardware problem. It is the room: bare drywall, glass conference walls, and hard ceilings reflect sound back into the microphones faster than any processor can subtract it.
TCG treats acoustics as part of the A/V design, not an afterthought. We measure the room's reverberation time and noise floor before we specify hardware, then engineer a treatment package — broadband absorption panels, corner bass traps, diffusers, and physical sound barrier materials — that brings the space to a defensible target. A conference room designed for video should land in the 0.4–0.6 second range. A Michigan K-12 classroom under 10,000 ft³ is held to 0.6 seconds or less by ANSI/ASA S12.60, the national classroom acoustics standard.
Absorption Panels
Fabric-wrapped rigid fiberglass at the first reflection points. Two-inch panels reach roughly NRC 1.00 and control speech frequencies down to about 125 Hz.
Bass Traps
Thick corner absorbers placed where room modes pile up. This is the step most integrators skip, and it is why "treated" rooms still sound boomy on a call.
Diffusers
Scatter sound instead of killing it. Used on rear walls in boardrooms, council chambers, and lecture halls so the room stays intelligible without going acoustically dead.
Barriers & Isolation
Mass-loaded assemblies, decoupled walls, sealed penetrations, gasketed doors, and high-CAC ceiling tile — for when the requirement is speech privacy, not just clarity.

Yes — and this is one of the key advantages of working with TCG. We handle the structured cabling, the A/V system design, and the installation as a single integrated project. No coordination gap between the low-voltage contractor and the A/V integrator.
A/V equipment installed in instructional spaces by TCG can qualify under FCC E-rate Category 2. We work with school districts and E-rate administrators to scope projects appropriately.
Commissioning includes system walk-through with end users, equipment testing and optimization, user training on operation and control, and documentation of all system components and settings. We don't hand over the remote and leave.
